Homicide Occurs in Pembroke Township
At approximately 4:22 pm yesterday afternoon (10/5/21), sheriff’s deputies were dispatched and responded to the 2600 south block of 13000 East Rd in Pembroke Township in regards to shots being fired. While en route to the scene, deputies received a second call in close proximity of a subject suffering from a gunshot wound(s).
Upon arriving to the scene, deputies located the shooting victim, as well as a crime scene nearby. The victim, 20 year-old, Jose A Ortega, of Pembroke Township, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
